QUIET, LEGAL, BEAUTIFUL.

Kongming Lanterns (a.k.a Sky Lanterns, sky candles, fire balloons) are an airborne paper lantern traditionally constructed from oiled rice paper on a bamboo frame. They hold a small candle or waxy flammable paper. The flame from the candle heats the air inside the lantern causing it to rise or float up into the air.   It will only stay in the air for as long as the heat source continues to burn.  Then it will float back to the ground.
